PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the residue of a tape not to be remained in a binding machine for horticulture. SOLUTION: The position of a tape-supporting plate 22 for holding the tip of the tape T with a picking plate 26 is arranged at this side from a cutter blade 24 of a driver handle 23. The tape stretched between the driver handle 23 and a clincher arm 21 is wound around a branch and a prop. When the driver handle 23 and the clincher arm 21 are closed, the picking plate 26 is retreated, and the cutter blade 24 cuts the rear end of a tape loop. At the same time, the overlapped part of the tape is bound by the staple driver 33. At the time, the front end of the tape is not bound and is not cut by escaping from the cutter blade 24, and as a result, the residue of the tape is not formed.
