PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance print quality by suppressing deviation in back/forth direction of a carriage traveling along a guide shaft through a noncontact system utilizing a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: The sliding part 12 of a carriage 1 is fixed to a horizontal guide shaft 3 such that it can travel in the lateral direction. Gravitational forward tilting of the carriage 1 around the guide shaft 3 is regulated when the engaging part 6 of the carriage 1 engages slidably with a guide rail part 5 extending in parallel with the guide shaft 3. A permanent magnet 8 is secured to the carriage 1 at a position lower than the arranging position of the guide shaft 3 and a metal plate 9 being attracted to the permanent magnet 8 is extended along the traveling passage of the carriage 1 at a position facing the permanent magnet 8. |
