PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometric instrument with which an optometric index image on the eyeground of an eye to be examined is observed distinctly. SOLUTION: The optometric instrument displays the index image concerning the vision of a subject when he or she observes an optometric index. The instrument includes an observation part for permitting the subject to observe the optometric index through a correction lens system which is convertible in refraction degree, a refraction power measuring part for projecting the index being different from the above optometric index on the eye to be examined and measuring the refraction power of the eye from the reflection light, an index image forming part for the index image of the vision when the eye to be examined observes the optometric index based on correction data in the correction lens system in the observation part and on the refraction power measured by the refraction power measuring part and a display part for displaying the index image of the vision when the eye observes the optometric index which is formed by the index image forming part. Thus, the instrument displays the index image of the vision when the subject observes the optometric index without processing the optometric index image on the eye to be examined. |
