<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protection air bag device capable of smoothly guiding an air bag by a guide member to complete deployment even when constituting the air bag so as to generate tension in the forward and backward directions on a lower fringe side upon completion of deployment and inflation. SOLUTION: This head part protection air bag device M1 is provided with the air bag 16 folded and stored in an upper fringe side of a window SW, an inflater 37 for supplying inflating gas into the air bag 16, the guide member 41 attached to a vehicle body side and arranged in the vertical direction so as to guide downward deployment of the air bag 16, and an engaging part 32 arranged in the air bag 16, engaged with the guide member 41, and guided by the guide member 41 when the air bag 16 is deployed and inflated. An initial vertical inflating part 24A inflating along the guide member 41 so as to lower and move the engaging part 32 along the guide member 41 at the initial time when inflating flows in is arranged in the air bag 16.</p> |
