PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet printer in which an ink tank can be removed easily from a tank mounting section. SOLUTION: An ink tank 27 containing ink being supplied to a recording head 21 comprises a protrusion 74 engaging with a tank mounting section 60, a hole 66 for introducing ink, a sealing plug 67 for closing the ink introduction hole 66 hermetically and urging the ink tank 27 in the direction for removing it from the tank mounting section 60, and a recess 68 being fitted with the elastically displaceable sealing plug 67. A tank supporting member 77 at the tank mounting section 60 for mounting the ink tank 27 removably has an elastically displaceable piece 83 engaging with the engaging protrusion 74. |
