PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sharpness and service life and prevent the adhesion of chips and slurry. SOLUTION: An abrasive grain layer 13 composed of a plurality of abrasive gain layer parts 12, etc., is provided on a surface 11a of a grinding wheel basic body 11, and each abrasive grain layer part 12 is connected by a bridge part 9. A non-abrasive grain part is provided between the abrasive grain layer parts 12 and 12. In the abrasive grain layer pat 12, super-abrasives are arranged in a peripheral part more roughly than in a central part. A metallic connection layer fixing super-abrasives is formed by a first metallic plated phase and a second metallic plated phase. The first metallic plated phase reduces its thickness like a crest from a central part toward a peripheral part. A substantially circular hollow region 7 in which the abrasive grain layer 13 is not provided is formed on the surface 11a of the grinding wheel basic body 11, and a ringlike abrasive grain layer region 8 in which the abrasive grain layer part 12 is provided is coaxially formed on its outer side. At least the surface of hollow region 7 is covered with a synthetic resin layer R having water repellency. |
