PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp bolt body structure for fastening mechanism applicable to an adjustable steering column fastening mechanism. SOLUTION: This clamp bolt body structure for steering column fastening mechanism comprises a cylindrical bolt or rod 1, and the bolt or rod has one end 6 threaded to receive a locking nut and the other end having a diameter contracted part for forming a shoulder part 4 allowing the retention of the pad of a disc spring 3 in a prescribed position at the end of the rod 1 by a nut 8. The disc spring 3 supplies a secondary load function to compensate the loss of tensile load of the rod 1. Accordingly, during the general vehicle life of the steering column, compression creep, face-to-face abrasion or the like is compensated by a substantially constant force provided by the clamp bolt body structure. |
