PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make constant holding force and insertion force for a lip part for holding a flange even in a portion of which the flange thickness is varied, to stabilize an assembling condition. SOLUTION: In this weather strip 3 having an attaching base part 105 of a substantially U-shaped cross-section, formed, in an in-cabin side sidewall 108 and an out-cabin side sidewall 107 inside, with a plurality of lip parts 10-13 for holding the flange 2 when a substantially U-shaped opening part 106 side thereof is inserted into the flange 2 formed in a body opening edge of an automobile, and attached to the portion where the flange thickness is varied, wall thicknesses of the in-cabin side sidewall and the out-cabin side sidewall inside are thinned to widen a space between the opposed lip parts 10 and 12 and a space between the opposed lip parts 12 and 13 in accompaniment to thickening of a flange thickness, under the condition where lengths of the lip parts 10-13 are constant, and the wall thicknesses of the in-cabin side sidewall and the out-cabin side sidewall inside are thickened to narrow the spaces between the opposed lip parts, in accompaniment to thinning of the flange thickness.
