Fabrication of molded building material comprises blending in a concrete mixer e.g. quarry shippings 65-85, with white cement 5-20 and water 5-20 per cent by weight respectively. 0.2-0.8 micron quarry shippings are used with agglutinants, 2-5 per cent, and powder-form coloring agents. In an EMBODIMENT of the invention, mixing for 3-5 minutes after homogenization of the blend is followed by 10-30 seconds molding at a pressure of 2-8 kilograms per square centimeter, e.g. by manual means, and three to seven days curing in air.
