PURPOSE: A cellular phone having a remote transmitting volume adjusting device and a control method therefor are provided to generate a specific signal, transmit the specific signal to a transmission-side cellular phone, and remotely adjust a transmitting volume of the transmission-side cellular phone in a reception-side cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: Microcomputers(6A,6B) confirm whether a transmission-side transmitting volume adjustment control signal transmitted from a mobile communication terminal of a call object is inputted and control a transmitting volume adjustment function for adjusting amplification gains of codec units(4A,4B). Transmitting volume control signal generating units(7A,7B) generate transmission-side transmitting volume control signals according to function control signals of the microcomputers(6A,6B).
