摘要 |
PURPOSE: An optical path conversion type variable optical attenuator is provided to use an MEMS mode, and reflect an optical signal of a transmitting optical fiber outputted to a receiving optical fiber to a path regardless of a path of a transmitting/receiving optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting optical fiber(71) outputs an optical signal through a transmitting core(72). A receiving optical fiber(75) receives the optical signal from the transmitting optical fiber(71) through a receiving core(76). A reflecting surface(74) prevent the optical signal outputted through the transmitting core(72) of the transmitting optical fiber(71) from entering the receiving core(76) of the receiving optical fiber(75). A mirror(73) attenuates the optical signal by entering only a part of the optical signal of the transmitting optical fiber(71). The mirror(73) performs a rectilinear motion to a direction perpendicular to an optical path between the transmitting optical fiber(71) and the receiving optical fiber(75).
