PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating volatile organic compounds emitted from automobile painting facility is provided to suppress discharge of pollutants by adsorbing volatile organic compounds with activated carbon filters and reuse the activated carbon filters by decomposing the volatile organic compounds in a microorganism treater. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for treating volatile organic compounds emitted from automobile painting facility comprises a suction part(2) at one side of which a porous plate structured suction port(5) is formed so that volatile organic compounds and harmful dust are uniformly flown into the suction port(5), and in the upper part of which pretreatment filter(10), intermediate filter(11) and zeolite filter(12) are respectively stacked to adsorb harmful dust; a filter part(3) that is put on the upper side of the suction part(2) and consisted of a plurality of activated carbon filters(14) which adsorb volatile organic compounds, and each two of which are paired as a group with the activated carbon filters being faced each other in such a triangle shape that the lower part is wide while the upper part is narrow so that polluted air uniformly flows through the total area of the filters, and blocking plates of pressing rod supports which are installed at side surfaces of activated carbon filters(14) to maintain air-tightness, wherein the separated volatile organic compounds are decomposed and removed in a microorganism treater after separating volatile organic compounds from the activated carbon filters(14) by heating the activated carbon filters(14) to a temperature of 135 deg.C using an electric heater so as to extend the operation life cycle of the activated carbon filters(14) by regenerating activated carbon between the activated carbon filters(14); and an exhaust part(4) that is put on the filter part(3) and consisted of a positive sucking exhaust fan and an exhaust port(19) which are installed at the upper part of the exhaust part(4) to suck out polluted air inside an automobile painting booth into the outside.
