COMPRESSOR HAVING OIL SEPARATOR

PURPOSE: A compressor having an oil separator is provided to improve the separation efficiency of oil and the cooling efficiency of the separated oil, thereby preventing the compressor from locking. CONSTITUTION: A compressor(20) having an oil separator includes a housing(21) having a suction muffler(21a) or a vent muffler(21b); a cover member(23) coupled with the housing and forming an oil separating chamber(22) having an inlet port(24a) for flowing a compressed heat exchange medium and an outlet port(24b) connected with the vent muffler; baffles(25) installed at one side of the housing and the cover member for extending a passage of the heat exchange medium flowed into the inlet port; a gasket(40) formed between the housing and the cover member, and having an oil return passage for supplying oil separated by the oil separating chamber to an oil supply path(21c) communicated with the suction muffler; and an oil separator(31) installed at the oil separating chamber for separating the oil from the heat exchange medium and cooling the oil.
