PURPOSE: A coating auxiliary device for steel making converter refractory and a coating method using the device are provided to increase the retention time of a coating material(200) at the steel outlet hole, thereby improving the coating efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The coating auxiliary device comprises a body(52) which is inserted into the steel outlet hole from the exterior; and a projected pipe(50) which is connected with the inserted part of the inserted body and can be separated, wherein the projected pipe(50) is projected to the interior face of the steel making converter refractory(1) when the body(52) is inserted into the steel outlet hole. Preferably the body has a three dimensional iron body and a binder meltable at high temperature is coated on the outer face of the iron body. |
