PURPOSE: An inter-network interworking SMS(Short Message Service) method is provided to successfully terminate a message in a 3G(Generation) network in case that a subscriber who has a pending message in a 2G network moves to the 3G network. CONSTITUTION: If an MS-B(Mobile Station-B)(60) in which a pending flag is set up in an old 2G MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(61) moves to a 3G network and accesses a system of the 3G network, the MS-B(60) connects to a corresponding new 3G MSC(62) through a radio access network of the 3G(S601). The new 3G MSC(62) transmits an MAP(Mobile Application Part) update location message for requesting the update of location registration of the MS-B(60) to a corresponding HLR(Home Location Register)(63)(S602). The HLR(63) grasps whether the MS-B(60) belongs in the old 2G MSC(61) on the basis of the MAP update location message, and transmits a registration cancellation command message to the old 2G MSC(61)(S603). The old 2G MSC(61) cancels registration information about the MS-B(60) on the basis of the registration cancellation command message, inserts the pending flag into a registration cancellation acknowledgement message for informing the cancellation of registration information, transmits the registration cancellation acknowledgement message to the HLR(63), and releases the pending flag(S604). The HLR(63) updates and registers location information of the MS-B(61) on the basis of the registration cancellation acknowledgement message, sets a pending flag of a short message about the MS-B(60), and transmits a MAP update location acknowledgement message about the MAP update location message to the new 3G MSC(62)(S605). The HLR(63) releases the pending flag, and transmits a MAP alert service center message for instruct the implementation of a termination process about the corresponding short message to an SMSC-B(Short Message Service Center-B)(64)(S606). The SMSC-B(64) transmits a MAP alert service center acknowledgement message about the MAP alert service center message to the HLR(63)(S607). |
