PURPOSE: A CRT is provided to prevent the adhesion of dusts due to the static electricity by forming a coating layer made of the powder of titanium oxide on the surface of the CRT. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube body(10) receives an image from a main frame to display it on a screen(12). A transparent coating layer(14), which is coated as titanium oxide(TiO2), is formed on the screen(12) of the cathode ray tube body(10). The transparent coating layer(14) prevents from sticking dusts by its own oxidizing force and the catalytic action of light. The transparent coating layer(14) is formed on the screen(12) of the cathode ray tube body(10) and a portion adjacent to the cathode ray tube body(10) to prevent from sticking dusts at the cathode ray tube(10) and surrounding thereof due to the static electricity.
