Water proofing concrete with insoluble high molecular - coal tar and pitch fraction

摘要

A method of water proofing concrete using a coal tar pitch fraction obtained as a ppt. using an aromatic solvent e.g. quinoline, pyridine, benzene, toluene, anthracene oil, solvay oil or light oil. This high molecular wt. fraction is mixed with cement to give concrete contg. 0.5-10 wt.% pitch material and does not lead to a loss in compression strength.
