LITHIUM SULFUR BATTERY AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A lithium sulfur battery and its preparation method are provided, to reduce the solubility and the viscosity of an electrolyte, to improve the utilization efficiency of a positive electrode and to improve the capacity of a battery. CONSTITUTION: The lithium sulfur battery comprises a positive electrode(5) containing an active material containing sulfur; a negative electrode(1); and an electrolyte(4) containing the electrolyte salt of 0-0.5 M. Preferably the active material of the positive electrode contains at least one selected from the group consisting of solid sulfur, polysulfide compounds and organosulfur compounds; and the negative electrode contains at least one selected from the group consisting of lithium, lithium alloys, alkali metals and carbon. When the concentration of the electrolyte salt is 0 M, polysulfide is produced in the electrolyte by connecting the lead(3) of the negative electrode and the lead(7) of the positive electrode, thereby shorting the cell.
