摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of performing multiple gradation display of a desired level without controlling a frame rate. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display device 10 wherein a single pixel 14 is divided into a plurality of sub-pixels 14a, a gradation-brightness characteristics of each sub-pixel 14a are set in a non-linear relation, and the pixel 14s can be set at a desired level of brightness by selecting arbitrary brightness for each sub-pixel.
