Materials are composed of a cellular metal and/or ceramic matrix containing a binder/filler comp. Cellular matrix is obtained by electroplating a polyurethane foam. Binding agent is a resin e.g. phenolic epoxy etc. pref. fire proof silicon rubber contg. antimony oxide with halogenated or P contg. hydrocarbon. Filler is also refractory material e.g. Al2O3 silicon carbide, graphite or a polymer. |
