PURPOSE: A connecting apparatus for steel reinforcements and a method thereof are provided to reduce working hours by connecting two steel reinforcements axially or connecting two steel reinforcements promptly with a lapping joint on the spot. CONSTITUTION: A steel reinforcement connecting system is composed of a first hollow pipe(10) and a sleeve(20). The first hollow pipe has an outer screw part(11), an inner pipe part(12) and an outer flange part(13). The inner pipe part comprises a first part having the first diameter and a second part having the second diameter more than the first diameter. The sleeve includes a first end(21), a second end(22) and a bearing part(23), and the bearing part includes an inner screw part(231) and an extension part(232). The internal diameter of the extension part is less than the internal diameter of the inner screw part, and the outer screw part is engaged with the inner screw part of the bearing part. Two steel reinforcements are connected axially, or promptly with the lapping joint in the spot.
