PURPOSE: Provided are new derivatives of phenethylamine and salts thereof having antibiotics and antifungal activities. Particularly the derivatives are alkyl phenethylamine derivatives represented by the formula(I). CONSTITUTION: The novel derivative of phenethylamine, particularly N-alkyl phenethylamine, is represented by the formula(I), wherein R1 is hydrogen, a methoxy group, a hydroxy group; R2 is a C1-C18 alkyl group which is a chain type of saturated hydrocarbon; and X- is iodide. A pharmaceutical preparation contains the N-alkyl phenethylamine or its salts as antifungal and antibacterial component, pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, an auxiliary agent and carrier. |
