PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of the entire system by stabilizing a detection method for detecting partial software faults on an electronic computer system. SOLUTION: Operation confirmation means 2 and 3 request the use right of a shared storage area 5 to a shared storage area management means 4 by a periodically issued execution request message, the operation confirmation means 3 which obtains the permission of the use right from the shared storage area management means 4 issues a response request message to the operation confirmation means 2 and a task 8 by the execution request message and the operation confirmation means 2 and the task 8 return a response message to the response request message. The operation confirmation means 3 changes an operation state to one of 'response presence', 'response absence' and 'fault' according to the presence/absence of the response message and stores and manages it in the shared storage area 5 and the task classified into 'fault' is restored.
