PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore the fault of a network device where the fault occurs and to confirm the restoration situation even if a manager is in a place away from a system managing device. SOLUTION: When a software fault occurs in the network device, a network device managing tool 11 transmits fault information and operation ID with respect to the fault to the personal digital assistant(PDA) 3 of the manager as an electronic mail (procedure A1). The manager transmits a return mail (operation ID) with respect to the electronic mail content (operation ID) (procedure A2). When operation ID returned from the manager is correct, the network device tool 11 generates operation screen information. The manager opens it on the screen of the PDA 3 and restores the fault from the opened operation screen. Thus, the network device is restarted and fault restoration confirmation screen information showing that the fault is restored is displayed on the PDA 3 (procedures A3 to A7).
