PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which forms images of high image quality by preventing the primary transfer defect accompanying the current outflow which occurs in a primary transfer section corresponding to the respective image forming sections of an intermediate transfer medium in an inline intermediate transfer system using the intermediate transfer medium of a belt form subjected to resistance regulation by an electron transmission system conducting agent. SOLUTION: The inline intermediate transfer system having a plurality of image forming sections Y, M, C and Bk and using the intermediate transfer medium of the belt form subjected to the resistance regulation by the electron transmission system conducting agent, in which, when the distance in a tangent direction to a touching point of a secondary transfer member and a secondary transfer opposition roller is defined as X (mm), the radius of the roller which is the secondary transfer member as (r) (mm) and the radius of the secondary transfer opposition roller as R (mm) and when the relation with a voltage V (V) to be impressed to the secondary transfer member is R>X>0 and r>X>0, the equation (15) is satisfied.
