PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system for generating appropriate images without being conscious of the control in an imaging system and without depending on the brightness of a subject. SOLUTION: The imaging system for handing a moving image as a picture comprises a photograph-switching section 8 for selecting moving image photograph or still image photograph, a still image generation section 1 for generating the picture information of the still image from picture information that is acquired as a moving image when the still image photograph is selected, a photograph condition estimation section 28 for estimating photograph conditions based on picture information that is acquired as a moving image or the picture information of a still image that is generated by the still image generation section 21, a gradation characteristic modification control section 29 for controlling the change in the gradation characteristics of picture information based on the estimated photograph condition, a gradation characteristic generation section 25 for generating the gradation characteristics of picture information according to the modification control of gradation characteristics, and a picture generation section 26 for generating reproduced picture information according to the gradation characteristics. |
