PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional data processing technique which can easily generate a polygon mesh having satisfactory orientation when taking parameters as an intermediary to reconstitute the polygon mesh. SOLUTION: The polygon mesh is subjected to a plane mapping so as to expand the curved surface, and an outline ED related to the polygon mesh is extracted. A bounding box Ba which is a reference figure circumscribed to the outline ED is set, and parameters are made to correspond to respective apexes of the polygon mesh based on the bounding box Ba. The polygon mesh is reconstituted on the basis of parameters made to correspond to the apexes. A mesh Ma like a lattice can be generated by this processing, and thus the polygon mesh having satisfactory orientation can be easily generated.
