PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain standby power to 1W or less while providing power supply to a control circuit even if a controller with a power transformer is always connected with a commercial power supply. SOLUTION: A power saving circuit 1 constituted of a phase control circuit having a thyristor, a bridge circuit, and a photo coupler is connected in series to a primary winding of the power transformer connected to the commercial power supply 52. In a power saving mode, the primary-side applied voltage of the power transformer is regulated by phase control, so that the secondary- side output of the power transformer may become a predetermined voltage by the power saving circuit 1.
