PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide program signal recording equipment which can more surely record only a main edit part of a program because the conventional commercial message cut function is not accurate. SOLUTION: A program information obtaining part 3 obtains program information transmitted together with a program signal, and detects a voice mode of a program on the basis of the program information. A voice mode discriminating part 4 discriminates a voice mode from a receiving program signal. A control unit 5 permits recording operation in a recording part 2, when both of the voice modes coincide with each other, and interrupts, for a time, the recording in the recording part 2 when both of the voice modes do not coincide with each other.
