PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot killer device capable of reliably killing spots with a comparatively simple structure without providing an independent high voltage power supply. SOLUTION: A circuit consisting of a first capacitor C1, a first resistor R1 and a first transistor Q1, and a circuit consisting of a second capacitor C2, a second resistor R2 and a second transistor Q2, are connected in parallel between a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) grid 1 and a power supply line L1. Lamp voltage increasing gradually from 0 V is outputted from a signal line 2, and resistors R3, R4 and R5 are so set that the transistors Q1 and Q2 are turned ON at different timings. For example, when the transistor Q1 is turned ON first and then the transistor Q2 is turned ON, negative voltage having an absolute value two times the power supply voltage is applied to the CRT grid 1 at that time.
