PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male terminal capable of preventing entanglement of terminals with each other, and preventing damages to a terminal connecting part and causing lowering of productivity. SOLUTION: This male terminal 21 comprises a rod-shaped terminal contact part 22 connected to a female terminal at a mating side, an electric wire holding part 23 for holding an electric wire 8, and a cylindrical housing engagement part 24 locked on a locking lance of a connector housing. A rear end side of the housing engagement part 24 is provided with an entanglement preventing piece 26, formed by inwardly cutting and rising a tip side with respect to a rear edge 25 of a cylindrical peripheral wall.
