PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that enables a user to easily generate drawings for the distance and relations of system component locations to the other system components, the accuracy of which are reliable, for a data processing system. SOLUTION: A system has a processing unit 20 for generating a system drawing, which display a map data read out from a map database 10 as a model on a screen to generate the system drawing. The system can provide a layer to display a map under the layer to generate the system drawing to implement the above-mentioned display. A user specifies a position he or she requires on the map displayed by a display device 22 as the position for laying a system component out after the map is checked on the display device 22. The processing unit 20 for generating the system drawing converts the specified layout positions into the physical absolute position data such as the latitude and the longitude, which the map keeps as information, and stores them as the position data for the components.
