PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a switch unit equipped with a compact and low-cost cam which can surely act on a switch part of a limit switch. SOLUTION: The switch unit is provided with a cam 21 rotating with a rotating shaft 18 and a limit switch 22 of which a movable contact point moves from one fixed contact point to the other to open or close an electric circuit when the cam 21 acts on a switch part 28. The cam 21 is so structured to be provided with a first cam part 30 fixed to the rotating shaft 18 through a fixing pin 29 and a second cam part 31 with a gap in the rotating direction and with a through-hole 32 for the fixing pin 29 to penetrate and freely rotate by the amount of the gap and acting on the switch part 28 with a large diameter part 31a and a small diameter part 31b formed of a given peripheral length.
