PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier with less distortion that employs a comparatively low clock frequency. SOLUTION: The amplifier comprises; a count means 2 that counts a time corresponding to a plurality of high-order bit data of an input signal comprising sampling data in a plurality of bits; a digital/analog converter means 4 that outputs an analog signal corresponding to a plurality of low-order bit data of the input signal; an analog switch 7 that outputs a first pulse with a prescribed level over a first period counted by the count means and outputs an analog signal output from the digital/analog converter means over a preset second period as a second pulse; and a power conversion means that amplifies an output of the analog switch.
