DEVICE FOR GRAPHICALLY PROCESSING VIDEO OBJECTS

PURPOSE: A device for graphically processing video objects is provided to display the visual scene by using video objects sub-sampled on different resolution levels with a graphic accelerator and real-time processing complex texture data with optimal band width. CONSTITUTION: A device for graphically processing video objects containing texture data comprises a filtering circuit(11) for sub-sampling a video object, and a video object composition unit(13) for applying texture data of the video object to a graphical form via a geometric transformation. The video object composition unit calculates a sub-sampling factor using parameters of the geometric transformation, and the sub-sampling factor then is used by the filtering circuit to sub-sample the video object. The video object composition unit then applies the sub-sampled video object to the graphical shape with a view to displaying a visual scene on the screen.
