PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of attaining high radiation and size and weight reductions. SOLUTION: This power converter consists of a power conversion switching device for conducting DC to AC or AC to DC power conversion, a smoothing capacitor 1 for smoothing DC power supply supplied to the power conversion switching device, and a cooler 21 for cooling the power conversion switching device and the smoothing capacitor. At least one of positive and negative metal electrodes 14, 15 connected to an internal element of the smoothing capacitor 1 is folded toward the main surface of a capacitor body 11, and the cooler 21 is brought into close contact with the surface 15a of the folded metal electrode. |
