PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect data stored in a processor including an encrypted or encryption decoding program. SOLUTION: This memory device 1 integrated in a single chip includes a first memory part 2 to an initialization or boot program by which write and read are performed through a first group of interfaces and a second memory part 3 to a user program by which write and read are performed through a second group of data interfaces, the memory part 3 includes addressable memory blocks 4 to 7 by every block, a first memory block 4 is provided with a protection control register PCR including pieces of programmable enable/disable information to the second group of data interfaces and inquiry of the protection control register PCR is performed before the inquiry or programming is allowed by an initialization program.
