PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of securing the cleaning performance of a cleaning member all the way, and also, removing the adverse effect due to the vibration applied on the cleaning member. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with an image carrier 11, an electrostatic latent image forming means 13 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 11, the cleaning member 43 for removing developer sticking on the image carrier 11 in contact with the image carrier 11, and an exciting means 51 for vibrating the cleaning member 43. A prescribed electrostatic latent image pattern is formed on the image carrier 11 by the electrostatic latent image forming means 13 in between the process of vibrating the cleaning member 43 by the exciting means 51 and the following image forming process. |
