PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register respective articles in stock always at correct departments at the time of taking inventory. SOLUTION: A POS terminal is provided with an inventory department declaration means which declares the code of a department that an article in stock as an object of inventory belongs to. Then when the inventory department declaration means declares the department code and a single-article code is inputted through a single=article code input means, single-article data on the department code, unit price, etc., corresponding to the inputted single-article code are obtained from a single-article master file and it is decided whether the department code of the single-article data and the department code declared by the inventory department declaration means match each other. When both the department codes do not match each other, an alarm is generated. |
