PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize the stable control to a high-speed revolution range, in a microstep-drive driver for a stepping motor. SOLUTION: A controller for a stepping motor, which controls a current with a rotation coordinate system, being equipped with an angle detector for detecting the rotational angle of a rotor to the stepping motor containing a permanent magnet and a coordinate converter for converting the motor current detected with that current detector into a rotation coordinate system where the direction of the magnetic flux of a rotor is an axis (d) and the direction orthogonal to that axis (d) is an axis (q), is so constituted as to control the phase of the output voltage of an inverters so that it may apply a current whose phase is advanced by an angle γ expressed by formula 1 from the axis (d), when defined that the velocity electromotive force of the motor is Eemf, the frequency of the rotational angle of the motor is ωr, the logarithm of the poles of the motor is P, the inductance of the motor is L, the resistance of winding is R, the impedance of winding is Z, and the components in the direction of axis (q) of the motor current is Iq. |
