PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker having a magnetic shield part of a heating coil of high reliability such that it seldom undergoes thermal changes and secular changes. SOLUTION: A strip of conductive material is formed in a loop and secured to the back of the heating coil side of a top plate 8 to form the magnetic shield part 3, with the inside diameter of the loop being larger than the outside diameter of the heating coil 1 so that they are arranged in concentric circles. Because the magnetic shield part 3 has no electrical connections, it is highly reliable and contributes to simplifying parts management, and because it is secured to the back of the heating coil side of the top plate 8, it will not deform or warp a heating coil retaining part 2 as it would in conventional cases, thereby preventing changes in performance resulting from heating and long-term use. |
