EL LAMP AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL lamp for use in illuminating a variety of electronic equipment and its manufacturing method, the lamp reducing uneven emission and providing uniform and good illumination. SOLUTION: An emitter layer 13 formed by uniformly dispersing phosphor powders 13B of large diameters onto the surface of a synthetic-resin layer 13A and then uniformly dispersing phosphor powders 13C of small diameters thereon is formed on top of a translucent electrode layer 2 on a translucent base 1, and a dielectric layer 4 and a back electrode layer 5 are laid on top of the emitter layer 13 to form the EL lamp. The emitter layer 13 is formed as the phosphor powders 13C of small diameters are dispersed into spaces among the large-diameter phosphor powders 13B uniformly dispersed in the synthetic- resin layer 13A, whereby the inexpensive EL lamp reducing the rate of uneven emission and providing uniform and good illumination can be obtained.
