PURPOSE: A compost having plentiful natural calcium and organics is provided to neutralize acidified soil and improve yield of crops by using quicklime(CaO) and organic waste. CONSTITUTION: The compost is manufactured by the following steps of: (i) mixing 60-65wt.% of quicklime(CaO) with organic waste such as food and animal waste, sewage sludge and animal waste for more than 30min, wherein Ca(OH)2 is formed and heat is generated when CaO absorbs water, expressed by the formula CaO + H2O -->Ca(OH)2 + 15.2kcal/1kgCaO; (ii) adding 10-20wt.% of organic waste, drying water and stabilizing by using reaction heat for 30min; aging for 15days. |
