PURPOSE: A vertical alignment type liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating a color filter substrate of the same are provided to form a protrusion patterns for domain division and polymer columns for fixing simultaneously cell gap. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a color filter substrate of a VA type LCD include the steps of forming a black matrix and color filters on a transparent substrate in sequence, forming an overcoat film on the color filters, forming common electrodes with a transparent conductive material on the overcoat film, doping a photosensitive resin on the common electrodes, and forming protrusions(600) and polymer columns(700) with different heights simultaneously by exposing and developing the photosensitive resin with a mask, the mask having a width smaller than a resolution of an exposure system and a width larger than the resolution simultaneously. |
