PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently remove residual toner on an image carrier without causing a remarkable increase in costs and also to prolong a life of a means to remove the residual toner flocculated at the edge part of a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: A cleaning device 17 to remove the attachment of a photoreceptive drum 11 possesses the cleaning blade 43 to remove the material stuck to the drum 11 by abutting on the photoreceptive drum 11, an exciting means 51 provided separately from the cleaning blade 43 and to vibrate the cleaning blade 43, a temperature detecting means 71 to detect the temperature of outdoor air and a control circuit 55 to control the exciting means 51 in accordance with the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means 71, and the exciting means 51 to vibrate the cleaning blade 43 either before or after the pre-multiple-rotation of the photoreceptor drum 11 performed when the temperature detected by the temperature detecting means 71 is equal to or higher than specified temperature is operated at the stoppage time of the photoreceptor drum 11.
