PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock and hold a card holder on a fallen and lying position (closed attitude position) only by swinging and laying the same. SOLUTION: This card connector 1 is composed of a base plate 10 provided with a contact 30, and the card holder 20 having a card-holding space and vertically supported swingably on the base plate. A card 80 is received and held in the card-holding space in a state of keeping the card holder 20 at an opened attitude position, and then the card holder is swung to the closed attitude position to allow a face terminal 82 mounted on the card to be brought into contract with and abutted against the contact 30. A cam mechanism, for forwardly sliding and moving the card holder while swinging and laying the same when the card holder, is made to swing and fall and lie at the closed attitude position, and a locking and holding mechanism for preventing the card holder located on the closed attitude position, from being swung to the opened attitude position are mounted, and the card holder can be locked and held on the closed attitude position only by swinging and laying the same to the closed attitude position. |
