PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit in which an image having high image quality can be obtained through a compact arrangement. SOLUTION: Even if a low-pass filter 6 is as thin as a film and can not sustain planarity as a single unit, planarity of the low-pass filter 6 can be sustained because an infrared cut filter 7 is formed of a relatively hard material, e.g. glass, and the low-pass filter 6 is sandwiched tightly by the infrared cut filter 7 and a dustproof member 5. Since distortion of an optical image being focused on the light receiving plane (not shown) of a solid imaging element 2 through the low-pass filter 6 is suppressed, an image having high image quality can be obtained. Furthermore, no dust adhere to the low-pass filter 6 after it is fixed because the low-pass filter 6 is sandwiched by the infrared cut filter 7 and the dustproof member 5. Since the low-pass filter 6 is not secured to the infrared cut filter 7 and the dustproof member 5 but held only by the resiliency of a leaf spring 8, it can expand/shrink freely upon occurrence of a difference in thermal expansion due to different materials and useless deformation can be suppressed. |
