MANUFACTURING METHOD OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel with high luminance and high reliability. SOLUTION: A high luminance and highly reliable plasma display panel is realized by forming on the surface of display electrodes 12, which used to be formed on a glass substrate, a structure of two dielectric layers a dielectric glass lower layer (high softening temperature glass) 13a and a dielectric glass upper layer (low softening temperature glass) 13b}. The layers are made of a glass whose average grain diameter is between 0.1μm to 1.5μm and its maximum grain diameter is not larger than three times the size of the average grain. Glass powder is fired at the temperature within the range of 20 deg.C from the softening point of the glass and then another glass powder whose softening point is 100 deg.C lower than that of the first glass is fired at the temperature 50 deg.C to 100 deg.C higher than its softening point.
