PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface circuit which satisfies a USB standard, in which switches a host function and a device function can be easily switched, and which has a simple circuit configuration and can be made smaller. SOLUTION: When electronic equipment 40 is used as a host to connect a device such as a printer to a connector 49 through a USB cable, a switch 42 is operated to switch a selection circuit 43b to a host function circuit 43a. Also, when the electronic equipment 40 is used as a device to connect a host such as a personal computer to the connector 49 through the USB cable, the switch 42 switches the selection circuit 43b to a device function circuit 44a. The USB interface is controlled by an output of a microcomputer 41 on the basis of a switch signal S42 of the switch 42.
