PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can carry out detection of no toner or a failure in a developing device without generating any detecting error or an image failure. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus judging a state in which toner is not replenished from a toner replenishing device 9 according as the developer concentration in the developing container 10 becomes smaller than a specified limit value L, the limit value L is provided with a plurality of standards and one standard value is selected and used according to the residue quantity of the toner inside a toner storing container 11. |
